Key Enhancements
I/O via TCP/IP or DeviceNet™
Notes:
To quickly summarize some of the key changes in PIM software and I/O…
The NT-PIM is the first generation of the PIM that runs completely in software in a Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 4 or better) environment.
Frame Rates of the PIM can be varied in all currently offered configurations. This is done in an inversely proportional manner to the number of cells required. For example, a 100 cell system at 60Hz will provide 200 cells at 30Hz.
The latest version of the Paracell Compiler has been significantly updated. In addition to Floating Point capability, a number of new features and functions have been added as well. For more information about the new compiler, please visit the Product Documentation section of our website.
The original HMI environment of the PIM, SoftScope, remains available for the Macintosh version of the Paracell Navigator, however ParaScope has been introduced as a way to provide more elegant HMI solutions using mainstream, HMI specific products such as LabView. ParaScope works in both a Macintosh and a Wintel environment.
In addition to the TCP/IP I/O that has been available since the RocketPIM, Flavors now offers DeviceNet I/O. The products also support file I/O in formats such as .xls, .dbf, and so on.
